Please note that there is no available parking on site at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama.

However, there are a number of parking and Park & Ride options in Cardiff, including two pay-and-display car parks adjacent to the college on either side.

Travel

Train

If you are travelling by train, the nearest stations to the venue are:

Cardiff Central (20min walk)
Cathays (6min walk) - this is a smaller station, which you can connect to via Cardiff Central or Queen Street (if staying in the city centre), but in our experience it's just as quick to go to Central and then walk or get a taxi!

Flying

If you are coming from further afield and flying to the wedding, there are two airports nearby with good connections to Cardiff city centre:

Cardiff Airport (Flybe from Belfast City Airport)

The T9 bus service is a direct link to Cardiff Bay and Cardiff City Centre. The bus stop is located directly outside the terminal. Services are available up to every 30 minutes. Click here to view the T9 bus timetable.Trains also run from Rhoose Cardiff International Airport railway station to Cardiff Central train station every hour from Monday to Saturday and every two hours on Sundays. A shuttle bus service from the train station to the Airport is available for passengers, the journey takes approximately 10 minutes and there is a small charge of £1 per person. Bristol International Airport (Easyjet from Belfast International Airport)

There is a National Express service from Bristol Airport into Cardiff which you can book in advance online, but be sure to arrive 20min or more before the departure time. You can also connect easily to the national rail network to get into the centre of Cardiff. Just jump on the Airport Flyer Express bus service for the best way to get to the station. The Airport Flyer Express leaves up to every 10 minutes and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It takes around 30 minutes and drops you right outside the railway station, making it easy to connect with onward rail services across the UK. (There are also National Express services, but we have found them to be a little unreliable in the past!)

Accommodation

You can use a search tool like Booking.com, Trivago, Airbnb etc to find the best accommodation for you.

There are so many options in and around Cardiff, all a short walk, taxi or bus ride away.

Here are some recommendations:

Hilton: closest hotel to the venue
Clayton: recommended by the Wisener clan after their many visits over the years!
Premier Inn and Travel Lodge: reliable, comfy, and there's lots of them in and around Cardiff! The Warner clan are staying in the Caerphilly Premier Inn should you wish to join them
